PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MELALUI PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS SMP INTEGRATED LEARNING
Abstract
through the application of integrated learning and accompanied by contextual-based
instructional media on social studies subject in junior high school. This research is a
classroom action research. The subjects were social studies' teacher and students of 8B
class in SMP N 11 Surakarta. Data collection techniques in this study are observation,
questionnaire, and test. The data analysis technique used are the comparative analysis
technique, technique of quantitative and qualitative analysis. This research was conducted
in three cycles. Based on the data obtained from cycle I to cycle III, the research
shows that the implementation of the integrated learning can increase students' critical
thinking skills. The third cycle shows the following condition: 71.79% of students gave
high responses to learning undertaken by teachers, 20.5% gave medium responses, and
7.67% gave low responses. Student's achievement in cycle III shows that 76.92% of the
students got grades above 70 and as much as 23.08% obtained score below 70. Succes
indicators in this study was reached at the third cycle.
