Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to find out the meaning of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, to know the characteristics of the Problem Based Learning model, to know the Problem Based Learning learning plan, to know the steps/syntax of Problem Based Learning learning, to know the strengths and weaknesses of the learning model. Problem Based Learning.Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a curriculum model that deals with students' real world problems. This learning model places problems as the core of the learning process, meaning that without problems, learning will not be possible. The purpose of this paper is to find out the meaning of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, to know the characteristics of the Problem Based Learning model, to know the planning Learning Problem Based Learning, knowing the steps/syntax of learning Problem Based Learning, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the Problem Based Learning learning model. Student involvement in learning cycle I was 64.25% (high) and increased in cycle II to 80% (very high). The teacher's performance value in the first cycle was 80.15 and increased to 95% in the second cycle. From the increase in the numbers above, it can be concluded that the PBL model can improve student learning outcomes and activities as well as teacher performance in learning mathematics with integers in grade VI SD Negeri 012 Sagulung, Batam City
