Abstract

This research aims to describe the influence of discovery learning to increase students' self- efficacy and mastery of concepts in the material on change in the form of an object. This research was conducted in class V of SDN 3 Majegan in the 2022/2023 academic year with 10 students as research subjects. The research is classroom action research using Kemmis and McTaggart's intervention design in 2 cycles. The results of the research show that there has been an increase in the number of students with high self-efficacy and students who understand the concept of material changes in the form of substances. These results are proven by the increase in students with high self-efficacy by 10% (pre-cycle), 40% (cycle 1), and 80% (cycle 2). Students' mastery of concepts increased by 20% (2 students) pre-cycle, 50% (5 students), and 90% (90 students) cycle 2. Conclusions from research on the application of the discovery learning model is able to increase the level of self-efficacy and students' understanding of concepts
