Application of the PjBL Model To Improve Understanding Of Narrative Essay Material Through Animated Film Media For Grade 4 Elementary School Students In Badran Surakarta

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' understanding and learning outcomes in Indonesian language mupel narrative essay material in grade IV elementary schools using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model with animated film media. The research conducted was Classroom Action Research (PTK) in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The stages of each cycle are planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Each meeting is carried out pre-test and post-test to determine the progress of students. cycle I with a class average of 84.8 with a classical completeness of 66.67% or as many as 18 students who met the KKM, then experienced an increase again in cycle II with an average grade of 91.81 with a classical completeness of 92, 59% or as many as 25 students whose scores reached the KKM. These results indicate that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model through animated films can improve understanding of narrative essay material and learning outcomes for Class V students at SDN Badran Surakarta.
