The Application of Inquiry and Talking Stick Model With Audiovisual Media to Improve The Quality of Social Studies Intrucsional
Abstract
This research aims to increase the quality of social science learning process through inquiry and talking stick with audiovisual media. The study was an action research consisted of three cycle. Each cycle consisted of one session. Each cycle consisted of stages: planning, observation, implementation, and reflection. Data collection techniques were nontest and test. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The result of the research shows the teacher’s skill in the first cycle scored 27 (good category), the second cycle scored 32 (good category), and the third category scored 36 (excellent category). The average in student’s activity first cycle scored 23,83 (fair category), second cycle scored 28,06 (good category), third cycle scored 33,12 (excellent category). Percentage of the learning outcomes in the first cycle is 56,25%, the second cycle is 72,92%, and the third cycle is 81,25%. The conclusion of this research is by aplication inquiry and talking stick model with audiovisual media can improve the quality of the social studies instrucsional of the students frouth grade in SDN Balangan.
