Abstract

Low motivation and achievement in learning Indonesian at the elementary school level remains a challenge in 21st-century learning. The integration of learning technology through an APK-based Indonesian language content application offers an m-learning approach that has the potential to enrich the learning experience. This study aims to assess the effect of using the application on the motivation and achievement of fifth-grade students at SDN 5 Cangkuang. The study used a One-Group Pretest-Posttest pre-experimental design with 30 students as subjects. The instruments used included a motivation questionnaire and a learning achievement test, while data analysis utilized a paired t-test to compare scores before and after the intervention. The results showed an average motivation score of 4.3, which is categorized as good. The paired t-test on achievement scores yielded a significance value of 0.000 or <0.05, indicating a meaningful difference between the pretest and posttest scores. These findings indicate that APK-based m-learning improves student engagement and cognitive achievement.
