Abstract

Forest fires and deforestation are serious threats to the environment and the achievement of SDG 13, SDG 15, and SDG 11. This study aims to develop Smart Forest Guardian, an Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based system for early detection of fire risks in deforestation-prone areas. The research method integrates field sensors, satellite imagery, drones, and regional mapping into a cloud-based platform. The collected data are analyzed in real time using AI algorithms to predict fire risks, detect anomalies, and provide action recommendations. The results show that the system improves forest monitoring effectiveness and accelerates responses to potential fires. Therefore, Smart Forest Guardian can serve as an adaptive and sustainable solution to support efficient and measurable forest ecosystem protection
