Hubungan Gaya Belajar dengan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS di MI Ma’arif 2 Jatisari

Abstract

Low critical thinking skills and a limited variety of teaching methods that accommodate student learning styles are fundamental issues requiring further investigation. This study aims to determine whether a relationship exists between learning styles and the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in the IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) subject at MI Ma’arif 2 Jatisari. A correlational research design was employed, utilizing a sample of 34 students selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data collection involved a learning style questionnaire and a critical thinking test, both of which met validity and reliability standards. Spearman’s correlation technique was used to analyze the data. The findings reveal a Spearman coefficient of -0.243 with a significance level of 0.166 (p > 0.05), indicating that there is no relationship between learning styles and students' critical thinking skills.
