Analisis karakter cinta tanah air melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler karawitan di sekolah dasar

Abstract

This research examines the development of patriotic character through extracurricular activities in elementary school students at SD Negeri Karangasem 1. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing observations, questionnaires, and interviews with students, teachers, and extracurricular instructors as data collection methods. The findings reveal that, in the planning stage, students are able to appreciate the arts and play an active role in preserving Indonesian culture. During implementation, students enthusiastically sing karawitan songs, play gamelan, and demonstrate good teamwork. In the evaluation stage, students' enthusiasm for participating in the annual performance reflects their love for local culture. Supporting factors include adequate facilities, strong commitment from students, teachers, and instructors, and student enthusiasm. However, several obstacles, such as the need for gamelan equipment repairs, low student motivation, and suboptimal extracurricular schedules, may affect the outcomes. The implications of this research can provide a better understanding of the formation of love for the homeland character through karawitan extracurricular activities and serve as a reference for further research.
