Abstract

Learning on fact and opinion material in elementary schools still faces challenges because students have difficulty distinguishing factual information from opinions, resulting in suboptimal learning outcomes. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students on facts and opinions material through the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by carrot cards and Canva interactive media at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Ketelan Surakarta. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles. The research subjects were 23 fourth-grade students in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation and analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that students' learning outcomes improved after the implementation of the TGT model assisted by carrot cards and Canva interactive media. The average score increased from 78.9 in Cycle I to 92.3 in Cycle II, while the learning mastery percentage increased from 78% to 100%. These findings indicate that the TGT learning model assisted by interactive media effectively improves students' learning outcomes on facts and opinions material.
