Penerapan metode pembelajaran circ untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca kritis kelas IV SDN Mangkuyudan

Abstract

This research uses the CIRC learning model to improve the critical reading skills of 18 fourth-grade students of SDN Mangkuyudan in the 2025/2026 academic year. This research used Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out for two cycles and two meetings in each cycle. Teachers and students are the data sources of this research and data acquisition techniques through observation, interviews, tests and documentation. This study uses validity tests in the form of source triangulation and technical triangulation. The research data were analyzed using methods in the Miles and Huberman model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This is evidenced by the average value obtained by students in the pre-action of 56,5 with classical completeness of 22,22%. Cycle I obtained an average value of 70,1667 with classical completeness of 61%. Cycle II obtained an average value of 88,05556 with classical completeness of 94%. The conclusion of this research is that the critical reading skills of fourth-grade students at SDN Mangkuyudan can be improved through the application of the CIRC learning model. This research contributes to providing insight for teachers in implementing the CIRC learning model, particularly in Indonesian language learning.
