Pengolahan Gulma Invasif Enceng Gondok Menjadi Pupuk Organik Layak Pasar Sebagai Solusi Masalah Rawa Pening

Abstract


Enceng gondok (Eichorrnia crassipes) merupakan gulma invasif yang menutupi sebagian besar danau Rawa Pening. Keberadaan gulma ini berdampak buruk pada perikanan, pariwisata, mempercepat laju sedimentasi, serta mempercepat pengurangan air. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan, membekali keterampilan serta mendampingi masyarakat untuk mengolah enceng gondok menjadi pupuk organik layak pasar (memiliki nilai jual) yang sekaligus dapat mengurangi populasi enceng gondok sebagai upaya konservasi Rawa Pening. Pembuatan pupuk organik dilakukan di Desa Kadirejo, Pabelan, Kabupaten Semarang, Jawa Tengah. Kegiatan ini meliputi: sosialisasi, pembuatan rumah kompos, praktik pembuatan pupuk organik, aplikasi pupuk organik, analisis kadar hara pupuk organik, peluncuran produk dan pengambilan data tingkat keberhasilan kegiatan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa setelah kegiatan ini 97,5% peserta mengetahui potensi dan mampu memproduksi pupuk organik. Pupuk organik yang dihasilkan mengandung C-organik 18,93%, N total 1,78%, P 1,10%, dan K 1,26%. Dengan pengemasan yang baik dan dilengkapi analisis hara, pupuk organik enceng gondok menjadi komoditi yang dapat diperdagangkan.
