Survei Kesiapan Siswa Dalam Implementasi Pembelajaran Berbasis Pemecahan Masalah

Abstract

Problem-solving-based learning teaches students to think conceptually starting from searching for data to being able to draw conclusions from the results of their identification. This study aims to analyze and measure the readiness of elementary school students in the implementation of problem-solving-based learning. The method used was a quantitative survey research, with 47 respondents of grade V students at State Elementary School in Kebumen District. Data was collected through a Likert scale questionnaire that included four problem-solving indicators, namely understanding the problem, planning solutions, implementing strategies, and evaluating results. The data is analyzed using percentages of each indicator. The results of the study showed that students had quite good readiness with a score of 80% in several important aspects of PBL. Students demonstrate good skills in the context of problem-solving questions, while the ability to formulate solution steps and the courage to present the results in front of the class still need to be improved. These results can make student readiness the basis for designing and choosing appropriate problem-solving model, strategy, or learning methods.
