Analisis Kesiapan Siswa dalam Pembelajaran IPAS berbasis Game Edukasi Monopoli untuk mengeksplorasi Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah di Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
Problem-solving ability is a crucial 21st-century competency, but it remains low among elementary school students due to monotonous IPAS teaching methods and media that have yet to adopt game-based approaches capable of fostering it. This study aims to analyze students' readiness in IPAS learning based on a monopoly educational game to explore problem-solving abilities. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving 7 respondents (6 students and 1 teacher) selected through purposive sampling at an elementary school in Kebumen District, with data collected through interviews. The results show that: 1) the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of most students are ready; 2) motivation and interest in the monopoly game are very high; 3) students already possess prior knowledge and basic skills. These findings indicate that students' readiness for IPAS learning based on a monopoly educational game is sufficient to facilitate the exploration of students' problem-solving abilities.
