Analisis Kebutuhan Guru dalam Pengembangan E-Book Interaktif pada Pembelajaran Bangun Ruang di Kelas V SD

Abstract

Learning spatial geometry in fifth grade elementary school still faces obstacles due to the dominant use of textbooks and lecture methods that cause students to have difficulty understanding abstract concepts and the low utilization of technology in learning. This study aims to analyze the needs of teachers in the development of interactive e-books for learning spatial geometry in fifth grade elementary school. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with a needs analysis method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document studies involving fifth grade elementary school teachers and students. The results showed that students had difficulty visualizing three-dimensional shapes and understanding the elements of spatial geometry. Teachers need digital learning media that include visualization, multimedia, and interactive features to support more meaningful learning. The needs analysis showed an average percentage of 81.8% with a high category in the aspects of material, visualization, multimedia, interactivity, and ease of use. The development of interactive e-books is needed as a learning medium that is appropriate to the needs of teachers and student characteristics in learning mathematics on spatial geometry.
