Meningkatkan Pemahaman Pengelolaan Emosi Siswa Melalui Media Kartu Emosi
Abstract
Students may experience difficulties in recognizing, understanding, regulating, and expressing emotions appropriately, creating a need for engaging learning media. This study aims to synthesize evidence on the effectiveness of emotion cards in improving students’ understanding of emotion management. A narrative literature review was conducted using Google Scholar with the keywords “emotion regulation,” “emotion cards,” and “emotion management”; 16 relevant articles were selected through identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages. The synthesis shows that emotion cards support emotion recognition by helping students identify and label emotional states and understand emotional expressions. The reviewed studies also indicate potential benefits for emotion regulation, empathy, emotional intelligence, and social-emotional competence, particularly when cards are integrated with interactive activities or guidance services. However, differences in participants, interventions, and study designs indicate that their effectiveness is context-dependent. Emotion cards therefore represent a promising medium for guidance and counseling services, while further research is needed to develop and test context-sensitive and digital versions.
