Kajian Pustaka: Efektivitas Media Pembelajaran Smart Box (Magic Box) dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

Learning media such as Smart Box, also known as Magic Box, play a crucial role in helping elementary school students grasp abstract concepts through concrete, interactive materials. This study aims to examine Smart Box media's effectiveness in improving elementary students' learning outcomes through a literature review, identify effectiveness patterns, and analyze its strengths and limitations. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a library research design, thirteen national and international journal articles (2020–2026) across various subjects were analyzed, showing that all studies reported higher Posttest than Pretest scores with statistically significant results (p < 0.05). N-Gain values ranged from moderate to high depending on research design and student characteristics, with effectiveness supported by the media's concreteness, game elements, and active student engagement. Overall, Smart Box media proved effective in improving elementary students' learning outcomes across subjects and grade levels, although further studies with stronger comparative designs are needed.
