Pengaruh Model Cooperative Learning Tipe Jigsaw Terhadap Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Siswa Kelas III SDN 6 Bulungan Jepara

Abstract

The low ability in reading comprehension is influenced by learning with conventional models, so that students' active involvement in understanding the text is not optimal. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect before and after the use of the jigsaw cooperative learning model on the reading comprehension skills of third-grade students of SDN 6 Bulungan Jepara. This study is a quantitative study with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving all third-grade students of SDN 6 Bulungan Jepara. The results of data analysis showed that the average score increased significantly from 60 in the pretest to 84 in the posttest. Based on the results of the t-test (paired sample t-test), a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.00 and an ɑ value of 0.05 was obtained, which means 0.00 <0.05, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. This shows that the use of the jigsaw cooperative learning model can improve students' reading comprehension skills. The jigsaw cooperative learning model is effective for use in learning and provides an active, collaborative and meaningful learning experience for students.
