The Role of Teacher Communication Skills in Creating Meaningful Learning Based on the Needs of 21st Century Students

Abstract

Teacher communication skills play a crucial role in fostering meaningful learning that meets the needs of 21st-century students. This literature review aims to explore the role of teacher communication in creating a learning environment that fosters critical and creative thinking. This study utilized a literature review analyzing research related to verbal and nonverbal communication, active listening, and feedback in learning. Data were collected to identify the impact of communication on student-centered learning. The results indicate that effective communication influences student engagement, understanding, and collaboration in the classroom. Adaptability and digital literacy are crucial in teacher-student interactions. Improving teacher communication competencies contributes to the realization of meaningful learning. It can be concluded that improving teacher communication skills is key to the successful implementation of meaningful education that meets future demands.

 

Keterampilan komunikasi guru berperan penting dalam mendorong pembelajaran bermakna sesuai kebutuhan siswa abad ke-21. Tinjauan pustaka ini bertujuan menggali peran komunikasi guru dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang berpikir kritis dan kreatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan tinjauan pustaka dengan menganalisis penelitian terkait komunikasi verbal, non-verbal, mendengarkan aktif, serta umpan balik dalam pembelajaran. Data dikumpulkan untuk diidentifikasi keterlibatan komunikasi terhadap pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa. Hasil menunjukkan komunikasi efektif memengaruhi keterlibatan, pemahaman, dan kolaborasi siswa di kelas. Kemampuan beradaptasi dan literasi digital penting dalam interaksi guru dengan siswa. Peningkatan kompetensi komunikasi guru berkontribusi mewujudkan pembelajaran bermakna. Dapat disimpulkan peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi guru menjadi kunci keberhasilan implementasi pendidikan bermakna sesuai tuntutan masa depan.
