Penerapan Model Experiential Learning untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Komunikasi pada Pembelajaran IPAS

Abstract

In elementary IPAS education, the development of communication skills is considered a central learning objective. This study employed classroom action research to explore the impact of Experiential Learning on fifth-grade students’ communication abilities at SDN Purworejo in the 2025/2026 academic year. The study was conducted with one teacher and 18 students over two action cycles. Data collection techniques included classroom observation, skill assessment, and documentation, with analysis carried out through descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. Results demonstrated a marked improvement in communication skills, with the average score rising from 56.0 to 84.0, and classical mastery increasing from 22.2% to 83.3%. These findings confirm that Experiential Learning creates meaningful learning experiences that significantly support the development of students’ communication skills in IPAS learning..
