Peran Aturan Sekolah dalam Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Adab Murid Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

Character education based on adab (proper conduct and etiquette) is a crucial aspect of primary education for shaping student behavior that reflects moral and social values. One approach schools take is the implementation of school rules. This study aims to analyze the role of school rules in the implementation of adab-based character education among primary school students. The study employed a quantitative approach and a survey method. The research population consisted of all 58 students in grades V and VI at SD Negeri Pabelan 02 Kartasura, using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results indicate that school rules play a significant role in the implementation of adab-based character education, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). A correlation coefficient of 0.766 indicates a strong, positive relationship, while an R² value of 0.587 shows that school rules contribute 58.7% to the implementation of adab-based character education. These findings demonstrate that the consistent application of school rules can support the development of civilized behavior among primary school students. Therefore, school rules need to be implemented consistently and supported by teachers setting a good example and a conducive school environment to optimize adab-based character education.
