BODY AWARENESS SEBAGAI FONDASI REGULASI DIRI: EKSPLORASI PERILAKU ANAK USIA DINI DALAM BERMAIN KELOMPOK

Abstract

Body awareness atau kesadaran tubuh, memungkinkan anak mengenali batasan fisik, memahami sinyal tubuh, serta mengintegrasikan pengalaman sensori dalam pengambilan keputusan perilaku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran body awareness sebagai fondasi regulasi diri dalam perilaku anak usia dini saat bermain kelompok. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif terhadap aktivitas bermain anak dan wawancara mendalam dengan guru PAUD di sebuah TK di Depok. Seluruh data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik, yang melibatkan proses mengkodekan, mengkategorikan, dan mengidentifikasi pola temuan yang relevan dengan konsep body awareness dan regulasi diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak yang memiliki kesadaran tubuh yang baik lebih mampu mengatur emosi, menjaga batasan fisik, dan menyelesaikan konflik secara konstruktif dalam permainan kelompok. Guru berperan dalam membentuk body awareness melalui kegiatan reflektif, permainan sensori, dan komunikasi empati. Temuan ini menjelaskan bahwa body awareness merupakan bagian penting dalam pendidikan sosial-emosional anak usia dini. Penelitian merekomendasikan integrasi body awareness ke dalam kurikulum PAUD secara eksplisit, serta pelatihan guru untuk mendukung pengembangan regulasi diri anak melalui pendekatan berbasis tubuh dan pengalaman bermain.
