Pengaruh Penggunaan Model PJBL terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif pada Kelas IV SD Gugus Ki Hajar Dewantara

Abstract

Creative thinking is a crucial competency in 21st-century education, essential for generating innovative solutions. However, the creative thinking skills of elementary school students in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) lessons remain relatively low. This study aimed to analyze the impact of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on the creative thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental design—specifically, a non-equivalent control group design—involving 48 students from the Ki Hajar Dewantara Cluster. Creative thinking skills were assessed using essay tests administered before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and an independent sample t-test. The results showed an increase in creative thinking skills in the experimental class from 38.88 to 61.64, while the control class improved from 36.52 to 58.09. These findings indicate that the PjBL model is effective in enhancing students' creative thinking skills, making it a suitable approach for active, contextual, and student-centered IPAS instruction.
