UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR AKUNTANSI MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL THINK PAIR SHARE DENGAN MEDIA WORD SQUARE PADA PESERTA DIDIK SMK

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to improve the learning activity and result of learning banking basic subject matter of students in Vocational High School through the application of think pair share learning model and word square media learning model. This research used the classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Population of this study is all students in one of the private vocational schools in Surakarta in the 2017/2018 school year. The sample of research consisted of 30 students. The sources of data were the subject matter teacher and student of the school. The data of research were collected through documentation, observation, in-depth interview and test. They were validated by using the content validation and analyzed by using the qualitive, quantitative and comparative analyses. The learning activeness is 46,94% . Following the treatment, the students activeness becomes 65,52% in Cycle I and 96,67 in Cycle II respectively. In the cognitive learning outcomes of the increase referred to is an increase in the average value of 17.20. It is also strengthened by the result of two-mean difference test using the t-test in which the difference of learning achievement prior to following the treatment was statistically significant as indicated by the value of tcount= 17,373 > ttable= 2,045. Thus, the application of think pair share and word square media learning models can improve the learning activity and result in learning the basics of banking students Vocational High School.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar dasar-dasar perbankan pada peserta didik SMK dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran think pair share dengan media pembelajaran word square. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik di salah satu SMK swasta di Surakarta tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 30 peserta didik. Sumber data berasal dari guru dan peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi, observasi, wawancara dan tes. Validitas data menggunakan validitas isi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif, kuantitatif dan deskriptif komparatif. Keaktifan pada tahap pratindakan 46,94%, pada siklus tahap I keaktifan peserta didik meningkat menjadi 65,52%, kemudian pada siklus tahap II keaktifan peserta didik meningkat menjadi 97,13%. Pada hasil belajar kognitif peningkatan yang dimaksud adalah peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 17,20. Hal tersebut juga diperkuat melalui uji beda dua mean dengan menggunakan t-test, perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah tindakan signifikan secara statistik karena thitung= 17,373 > ttabel= 2,045. Dengan demikian penerapan model pembelajaran think pair share dengan media word square dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar dasar-dasar perbankan untuk peserta didik SMK.
