PENGARUH MODEL PROJECT BASED LEARNING TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN SPREADSHEET

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the influence of project based learning model on improving students’ critical thinking skills in spreadsheet subject. This research is a quasi-experiment study with a quantitative approach. The population of this study is class X students majoring in Accounting and Finance at SMK in Karanganyar with a total of 107 students and a sample of 71 students. The sampling technique use cluster random sampling with data collection through a multiple choice test. Data analysis technique use independent sample t-test, paired sample t-test, and n-gain test. The study conclude that (1) there is a difference in the average test results between the experimental and control groups, this is evidence by a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05; (2) there is a difference in the average test results before treatment and after treatment in the experimental group, this is evidence by the significance value of 0,000 < 0,05; and (3) the application of the project based learning model has a higher infleunce on improving critical thinking skills, this is evidence by the n-gain test results of 0,6556 in the experimental group and 0,4427 in the control group. Keywords: Project Based Learning, Spreadsheet, Critical Thinking Skills ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model project based learning terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran spreadsheet. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitan eksperimen semu dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X jurusan Akuntansi dan Keuangan Lembaga SMK di Karanganyar sejumlah 107 siswa dengan sampel 71 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling dengan pengambilan data melalui tes berbentuk soal pilihan ganda. Teknik analisis data menggunakan independent sample t-test, paired sample t-test, dan uji n-gain. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil tes antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kontrol, hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05; (2) terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil tes sebelum perlakuan dan sesudah perlakuan pada kelompok eksperimen, hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05; dan (3) penerapan model project based learning memiliki pengaruh yang lebih tinggi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis, hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji N-Gain 0,6556 pada kelompok eksperimen serta 0,4427 pada kelompok kontrol.
