ANALYSIS OF PEDAGOGIC COMPETENCE OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN GARUT REGENCY
Abstract
Pedagogic competence is one of the four main competencies that must be mastered by teachers. This study aims to determine the analysis of pedagogic abilities of elementary school teachers in Garut Regency and analyze which pedagogic competence indicators have the best mastery and which competency indicators are still lacking from elementary school teachers in Garut Regency. The research method used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was elementary schools located in Garut Regency, while the sample of this study was 39 teachers from several schools in Garut Regency. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The results showed that the pedagogic competence of teachers in Garut Regency was classified as Good with an average score of 85.93. The greatest value lies in the indicator of the ability to communicate effectively, empathically and politely with students and the indicator of the teacher's ability to master student characteristics, while for indicators that are still relatively low lies in the ability of teachers to organize educational learning and the ability to master learning theories and educational learning principles.
