Journal of Rural and Development (JR&D) is a community service journal published and managed by the Center for Rural Research and Regional Development, the Institute for Research and Community Service, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. This journal is intended to serve as a tool for disseminating information and fostering socialization regarding the results of the dedication of the entire academic community to various innovations and solutions to multiple societal problems.

Articles published in the Journal of Rural and Development can take the form of research-based Community Service activities, such as Participatory Action Research, Asset-Based Community Development, Community-Based Research, Service Learning, and Community Development.
