Peer Review Process

The review process is carried out using the Single Blind Review technique. This means that the author will not know who the reviewer of the manuscript is, as opposed to the reviewer. In general, the review process is carried out through several stages, namely:

  1. Initial screening stage. At this stage, the editor evaluates whether the submitted manuscript is in accordance with the journal's scope and standard guidelines.
  2. Review stage. Each manuscript is given a maximum of 2 competent reviewers at this stage, and the review process can take 1 to 4 months.
  3. Final decision stage. At this stage, the editor will decide to accept or reject the manuscript. The editor's decision will be based on the reviewer's result.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Publication Ethics

This journal refers to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)(https://publicationethics.org/) among others:

  1. The articles submitted must be plagiarism-free.

  2. The articles submitted are original and are not submitted/under review in other journals.

  3. The articles submitted must be free of conflicts of interest.

  4. All authors agree to the process of submitting articles to the journal in accordance with the author's name and authorship's order.

  5. Issues related to authorship must be resolved by authors before articles are submitted to the journal.

  6. Authors are allowed to write notes or corrections to articles that have been published in the journal if in the future an error is found in the content of the article.

  7. Reviewers are parties who assist the Editor in making editorial decisions regarding articles submitted to the journal. Reviewers must conduct an objective review according to their scientific field regardless of race, gender, religious belief, ethnicity, citizenship, and/or political affiliation of the author.

  8. The decision of the Editorial Board is final. The Editorial Board of the journal has the right to cancel or withdraw the publication of an article that has been accepted if it is found in the future that the article contains a violation of the code of ethics (misconduct).

  9. The Editorial Board and reviewers must maintain confidentiality regarding the article review process

 

Policy of Screening for Plagiarism

This journal has a plagiarism filtering policy, which is checked using anti-plagiarism software known as Turnitin to check the authenticity of articles with a maximum similarity score of 20%.

 

Open Access Policy

Performa: Media Ilmiah Teknik Industri is an open-access journal in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution- Non-Commercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This permits users to conduct the following activities:

Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format

Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material


Under the following terms:

Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner without in any way suggesting that the licensor endorsed you.

Non-Commercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.

No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from conducting any activity the license permits.

 

Copyright Notice

For accepted articles, authors will be required to complete an 'Author Declaration' (see more information on this) prior to publication, which will be sent by mail to the corresponding author.

The Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, the copyright of the article shall be transferred to Performa:Media Ilmiah Teknik Industri.
