ADIKSI GADGET : PERMASALAHAN DAN INTERVENSI

Abstract

Government policy requires distance learning in March 2020. The use of gadgets has increased significantly from year to year.  Data from APJII states that the growth rate of internet penetration in Indonesia in 2024 will be 79.50%. Even though in 2023 it will be 78.19%. And it will be 77.01% in 2022. This means that there is quite a significant increase. With the largest user contribution in the user age range 12-27 years, this creates the problem of gadget addiction in teenagers. Gadget addiction is a maladaptive behavior that has the characteristics of using gadgets beyond reasonable limits. And it has negative impacts physically, psychologically and socially. Intervention efforts need to be made to reduce gadget addiction in teenagers. Based on the results of the journal review, it was concluded that gadget addiction has a negative impact on teenagers. And it can be effectively reduced by intervention through Counseling Services, both individual and group. By the guidance and counseling teacher or by involving the family (family counseling). Using a Behavioral approach (self control, self management) or an approach that combines Behavioral and Cognitive. (CBT, REBT) etc.
