The printed version of Jurnal Materi dan Pembelajaran Fisika was launched in 2012 and has the ISSN 2089-6158. The journal has been available online since 2011 at http://jurnal.fkip.uns.ac.id/index.php/fisika. Data and publications were transferred in 2017 using the website https://jurnal.uns.ac.id/jmpf with online ISSN 2620-3944. Physics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, is responsible for overseeing the publication of this journal.

In the beginning published twice in a year, in May and October.  Then continue published twice in a year with scheduled in May and November since Vol 13, No 1 (2023).
