Journal of Applied Economics in Developing Countries (JAEDC) is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Master of Economics and Development Studies, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, Indonesia. The journal is published twice a year, in March and September. JAEDC is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that provides an international academic platform for economic research, particularly on issues relevant to developing countries.
JAEDC focuses on economics, business, and management in developing countries and presents current developments through the publication of research articles and research reports. The journal welcomes contributions from scholars across related disciplines. Novelty and timeliness of research are among the journal’s priorities in the publication process.
To support the quality of its publication, JAEDC has invited editorial board members from various countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Australia. The journal has also received contributions from authors from several countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Spain, Poland, Bangladesh, and Nigeria. Peer reviewers involved in the journal’s editorial process have come from various countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Libya.
JAEDC was first published in 2014 with Volume 1, Number 1. Volume 1, Number 2 was not published, and no issue was published in 2015. Publication resumed in 2016 with Volume 2, Number 1, while Volume 2, Number 2 was not published and no issue was published in 2017. In 2018, publication resumed with Volume 3, Numbers 1 and 2, establishing the journal’s subsequent biannual publication schedule.
