Abstract


Entrepreneurial business is an important driver of modem day economies. A venture which is willing to take risks and demonstrate a proactive attitude and an innovative reflects the entrepreneurial orientation. In entrepreneurial ventures, the business environment is complicated by the retention of employees, which the loss of knowledge resulting from high turnover. One way retain human capital is to increase the organizational identification of employees. A leader who is willing to sacrifice promote identification with more than a leader who benefit themselves. Samples in this study were employees of an export-oriented furniture business in Surakarta, which relates directly to the business owner. This study examines whether entrepreneurial orientation and self sacrifice positively related to organizational identification and self sacrifice moderating the relationship. The hypothesis testing using ttest statistics which is the results of entrepreneurial orientation significant to organizational identification, but self sacrifice was not significant to organizational identification. The analysis also shows that self sacrifice was not moderator variables in the relationship entrepreneurial orientation and organizational identification.
