Penerapan Nilai-Nilai Toleransi dalam Pembelajaran Sejarah di SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta

Abstract

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to describe: (1) history teachers' understanding of SMAN 6 Surakarta regarding the values of tolerance, (2) planning for the application of tolerance values in history lessons by history teachers, (3) implementation of history teaching and learning activities in applying the values of tolerance values, and (4) the results of teaching and learning in learning history in the application of tolerance values.
This research uses a qualitative method with a case research approach. The sources used are primary sources including informants: history teachers and students as well as secondary sources from books, journals, and other literacy relevant to discussing the application of the value of tolerance in learning history. Data collection techniques in this research used interview and observation methods. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman technique which goes through 4 stages namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data validity testing techniques used source triangulation, member checks, and extended observations.
Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that: (1) The history teacher's understanding of the value of tolerance contains elements forming an attitude of tolerance such as recognizing the rights of others, respecting the principles of others, recognizing the rights of freedom of others. (2) Planning for the application of tolerance values is carried out by planning into learning lesson plans to apply tolerance in each learning activity along with formulating learning objectives to be achieved. (3) The implementation of history teaching and learning activities presents an attitude of tolerance in learning through discussion, question and answer, and lecture activities. (4) The results of learning history are manifested in the form of assessing the attitudes of students in the history teacher's personal notes and the results of learning history overlap obstacles along with solutions to problems applying the values of tolerance.
