Abstract

The purpose of the study in this writing is to find out the religious life of the people around Cetho Temple. To find out the religious life of the community around Cetho Temple, it is used as a source of development of Indonesian historical material in class X SMA. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Sourced from the study conveyed in the nature of daily life of the Hindu community around Cetho Temple uses the temple for a place of worship at night. In addition, the life of the Hindu community around Cetho temple has social, cultural and economic values that are backgrounded by their religious life. Like the traditions they do routinely this brings benefits from various aspects of life. In other words, historical relics during the past Majapahit period illustrate the reflection of people's lives now in the course of their history, not only that by studying historical relics from the scope of Indonesian society, it is hoped that they will be able to study the historical and cultural traces in it as part of the basic foundation for the formation of the Indonesian nation. The life of the Hindu community can be used as a development of learning materials for Indonesian history which can be seen its relevance through traditional ceremonies carried out by Hindus at Cetho Temple with historical evidence of Hinduism's life and influence. In addition, historical relics such as relief reliefs in Cetho Temple can be used as complete and detailed historical traces that can be used as a direct medium for learning Indonesian history in class X SMA.
