Abstract

Due to COVID-19, remote and hybrid work has become the norm, dramatically changing global work models. The aim of the study is to examine how these changes have affected the structure of working hours and how Ukrainian legislation has been changed in accordance with the new circumstances. The study also seeks to identify how to improve the legal environment in Ukraine to promote employee work-life balance and productivity. Research methods include analysis to examine changes in work schedules, synthesis to combine different elements, induction to derive general conclusions, deduction to put theories into practice, analytical method to evaluate data, abstraction to emphasize basic traits, and generalization to generate sentences. The study revealed that the global shift to flexible work challenges traditional working time regulations. New policies are needed to protect workers' rights and balance flexibility with fairness. Many people now work from home or have flexible hours; therefore, laws need to be changed to make working hours fair for everyone.
