Eksperimentasi Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) pada Materi Pokok Trigonometri Ditinjau dari Minat Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas X Semester Ii Sma Negeri 6 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019

Abstract

The objective of research was to find out: (1) which ones having better achievement, the students using TPS (Think Pair Share) learning model or Direct Instruction, (2) Viewed from students interest, high, middle, and low, which ones having better achievement (3) in each learning model, which ones having better achievement among students with high, medium, or low learning interest, (4) in each students interest category, which ones having better achievement between TPS learning models or Direct Instruction. The type of research was a quasi-experimental research. The population of research was all X graders of Senior High School 6 Surakarta. The sample was taken using cluster random sampling. The size of the sample was 69 students consisted of 33 students in experimental group and 36 students in the control group. Collecting data has been done through multiple choice test to kmow student’s achievemnt and questionnare to know students interest in learning. Data analysis technique used two-way analysis of variance with unbalanced cells. The conclusions of research as follows: (1) The direct instruction provides learning achievement better than the TPS learning model; (2) Students with high and moderate learning interests provide better learning achievement than students with low learning interest; (3) In students with high and middle learning interests, the direct instruction provides learning achievement better than the TPS learning model, while students with low learning interest, the TPS model provides learning achievement better than the direct instruction
