Abstract

Abstract: This zoo is a place of tourist activities that focuses on education to the community provides learning about animals’ lives in their environment, as a means of wildlife animals and environment conservation by applying ecological architecture approach. The issue raised is how to formulate the concept of planning and designing a zoo as a place of humans and animals in doing their activity which can promote harmony to the environment. In order to solve the problem, ecological architecture approach is applied to generate a convenient zoo for humans, animals, and the environment. In addition, ecological architecture approach is also applied to organize the mass of building, process the footprint, utilities system, landscaping and building materials.
