IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK
Abstract
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was aimed to improve students' critical thinking ability through the implementation of problem based learning (PBL) models in class XI AKL. This research was a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of (1) action planning, (2) action implementation, (3) observation and interpretation, and (4) analysis and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class XI AKL, which consisted of 34 students. Data collection techniques are carried out by using observation, documentation, and tests. The data validity test technique in this study used content validity. The results of this study showed an increase in the percentage of completeness students' critical thinking ability according to the achievement indicators from pre-action, cycle 1 and cycle 2. This study determined the achievement indicators of completeness at 75%. In the pre-action the percentage of completeness students' critical thinking ability achievement was 12% in the unfavorable category. In cycle 1 there was an increase in the percentage of students' completeness achievements to 53% in the pretty good category. In cycle 2 there was an increase in the percentage of student completeness achievements by 85% in the very good category. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that there was an increase in critical thinking ability through the implementation of problem based learning (PBL) models in class XI AKL. Keywords: Critical Thinking Ability, Problem Based Learning, Banking Elementary ABSTRAK Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik melalui implementasi model problem based learning (PBL) di kelas XI AKL. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri atas (1) perencanaan tindakan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan interpretasi, serta (4) analisis dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI AKL yang berjumlah 34 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Teknik uji validitas data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan validitas isi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan persentase ketuntasan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik sesuai dengan indikator capaian dari pra tindakan, siklus 1, dan siklus 2. Penelitian ini menetapkan indikator capaian ketuntasan sebesar 75%. Pada pra tindakan persentase capaian ketuntasan peserta didik sebesar 12% dengan kategori kurang baik. Pada siklus 1 mengalami peningkatan persentase capaian ketuntasan peserta didik menjadi 53% dengan kategori cukup baik. Pada siklus 2 mengalami peningkatan kembali persentase capaian ketuntasan peserta didik sebesar 85% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa, terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui implementasi model problem based learning (PBL) pada peserta didik kelas XI AKL.
