PENGARUH INTENSITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL TERHADAP PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN AKUNTANSI

Abstract

ABSTRACT

The aims of this research was to examine effect of intensity of social media use on academic procrastination of Accounting Education students. The type of this research was quantitative research with ex-post facto approach. The population of this research amount of 266 active students of Accounting Education Programme, Sebelas Maret University. A sample of 160 students was selected through a proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used a simple regression and were processed with a software of SPSS Version 22. The results of this research showed there was a positive and significant impact of intensity of social media use on academic procrastination of Accounting Education students.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh intensitas penggunaan media sosial terhadap prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa Pendidikan Akuntansi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan ex-post facto. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 266 mahasiswa aktif Program Studi Pendidikan Akuntansi, Universitas Sebelas Maret. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara proportional stratified random sampling sebanyak 160 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana melalui bantuan program SPSS Version 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan intensitas penggunaan media sosial terhadap prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa Pendidikan Akuntansi.
