KAJIAN TENTANG MINAT MENJADI GURU DITINJAU DARI PERPEKTIF FACTOR INFLUENCING TEACHING (FIT)-CHOICE THEORY

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the relationship between interest in becoming a teacher and 4 main factors in Factor Influencing Teaching (FIT)-Choice Theory, including: (1) task perception about teaching; (2) self-perception about teaching ability; (3) utility value; and (4) fallback career. This research method used in this study is a quantitative correlation with es post facto research.Sampels of the research was 108 students who selected using proportional stratified sampling technique. Data of the reaserch were collected trough documentation and questionnare. Data analyzed using the correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study obtained the Multiple Regression Test equation model Y =9,885 + 0,494X1 + 0,512X2 + 0,251 X3 - 0,122X4. Based on the Bivariate Correlation Testthe results show that, there were a positive and significant correlation betweenthe Interest in Becoming Teacher with Task Perception About Teaching (r = 0,446; p = 0,000); self-Perception About Teaching Ability (r = 0,481; p <0,000); Utility Value (r = 0,561; p < 0,000); and has a negative and significant correlation withFallback Career (r = -0,207; p <0,031). Based on the Multiple Correlation Test the results show that, there were a significant correlation between Task Perception About Teaching, Self-Perception About Teaching Ability, Utility Value And Fallback Career with The Interest In Becoming Teacher(R = 0,635;Sig. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara minat menjadi guru dengan 4 faktor utama dalam Factor Influencing Teaching(FIT)-Choice Theory antara lain :(1) persepsi tentang profesi guru; (2) keyakinan kemampuan mengajar; (3) nilai utilitas; (4) pilihan karir lain. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 108 mahasiswa dipilih dengan teknik proportional stratified sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi dan kuisioner. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasional dan uji regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh model persamaan Uji Regresi Ganda Y =9,885 + 0,494X1 + 0,512X2 + 0,251X3 - 0,122 X4 . Berdasarkan Uji Koefisien Korelasi Sederhana didapatkan hasilterdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara Minat Menjadi Guru dengan Persepsi Tentang Profesi Guru (r = 0,446; p< 0,000); Keyakinan Kemampuan Mengajar (r = 0,481; p< 0,000); dan Nilai Utilitas(r = 0,567; p< 0,000); serta memiliki hubungan negatif dan signifikan dengan Pilihan Karir Lain (r = -0,207; p<0,031). Berdasarkan Uji Koefisien Korelasi Ganda didapatkan hasil terdapat hubungan antara Persepsi Tentang Profesi Guru, Keyakinan Kemampuan Mengajar, Nilai Utilitas, Pilihan Karir Lain dengan Minat Menjadi Guru (R = 0,635;Sig.
