Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Masyarakat Di Masa Pandemi Covid-19 Desa Segaran Kecamatan Batujaya Kabupaten Karawang

Abstract

The phenomenon behind this research is that on March 11, 2021, Indonesia experienced a relatively fast spread of Covid-19 and resulted in a decline in the economy. This problem has an impact on the economy of rural communities. One of them is Segaran Village, Batujaya District, Karawang Regency. It is undeniable that the implementation of government regulations with the PSBB to PPKM is one of the cessations of the economy. As a result, many people lost their jobs. so the author is interested in knowing whether there is community economic empowerment during the Covid-19 pandemic in Segaran Village, Batujaya District, Karawang Regency. This study aims to find out about the implementation of community economic empowerment during the Covid-19 pandemic, Segaran Village, Batujaya District, Karawang Regency. In this study, the author uses the theory of community economic empowerment according to Hutomo (2000), which consists of strengthening production, strengthening people to get appropriate and adequate salaries/wages, strengthening distribution and marketing control. This research method uses qualitative in the form of a description with a case study approach, where the data is obtained through field studies in the form of observations and interviews as well as literature studies. The results of this study are that Segaran Village has implemented community economic empowerment since 2018 and has been strengthened again since the Covid-19 Pandemic. From the results of interviews based on indicators that the strengthening of production is carried out through: training programs for the production of mussel cake, ring cake, milkfish presto and the development of creative industries. Reinforcement to get wages/salaries in the form of capital assistance and Strengthening distribution and marketing in the form of education
