Author Guidelines
1. The manuscript must be the result of original conceptual or empirical research within the scope of state and public administration. It must be authentic, must not plagiarize the work of others or other institutions, and must not have been published elsewhere.
2. The article is written in English, 15-20 pages (6,000-7,000 words), typed in Times New Roman, one column, justified, with 1.15 line spacing and normal margins on A4 paper.
3. The title is written in English and should not exceed 14 words (bold, 14pt).
4. Author names are written without academic degrees or titles. The author's full institutional affiliation must be provided, including department, faculty, university, city, and country. If all authors share the same affiliation, superscript letters are not required. Only one email address should be provided for the corresponding author.
5. The abstract is written in English, consisting of 200-250 words in a single paragraph. Keywords should consist of 3-5 terms arranged in alphabetical order.
6. The manuscript structure follows this order: Title, Author Names and Affiliation, Abstract and Keywords, Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Supplementary Information (if any), Conflict of Interest, Author Contribution, Ethical Statement, Funding Statement, Acknowledgement (if any), Declaration of Generative AI (if any), and References.
Introduction presents the background of the study, the research problem, and the theoretical foundation in a flowing narrative, without subchapters. Images, figures, and tables are not permitted in this section.
Method describes the research method or approach used, in sufficient detail to allow readers to evaluate the reliability and validity of the findings.
Results and Discussion presents the research findings and analysis in subchapters with appropriate titles, supported by adequate data, and must answer the research questions raised in the Introduction.
Conclusion summarizes the findings and analysis and provides recommendations, written in narrative form using full paragraphs. Numbered or bulleted points are not permitted.
7. Foreign words or technical terms that are not translated into English should be italicized.
8. Direct citations of 5 lines or more are written with single spacing on a new line. Direct citations of fewer than 5 lines are integrated into the text and enclosed in quotation marks. Indirect citations are written without quotation marks.
9. Tables must be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.), created without vertical lines or shading, with the title placed above the table (left-aligned) and the source below the table (centered). Every table must be referred to at least once in the text.
10. Figures must be of high resolution, numbered consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.), and referred to in the text before they appear. The figure title and source are placed below the figure and centered. Figures and tables must not be duplicated, screenshotted, or modified from other published works without permission from the original author or publisher.
11. Supplementary Information, if any, must be referred to within the article and compiled into a single Word file prepared according to the journal template. It typically contains additional method details, supporting data, calculations, or extended discussion that supports the statements made in the article.
12. Conflict of Interest: On behalf of all authors, the corresponding author must disclose any financial or personal relationship with other individuals or organizations that could inappropriately influence or bias the work presented in the manuscript.
Example: The authors declare no conflict of interest in this article.
13. Author Contribution: Every listed author must have agreed to the final version of the manuscript, approved its conclusions, and contributed to the work in line with the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy), such as conceptualization, data analysis, funding acquisition, investigation, methodology, project administration, resources, software, supervision, validation, visualization, manuscript drafting, and manuscript review and editing.
Example: SR (author's initials): Conceptualization, Software; TES: Data Analysis, Manuscript Drafting; FN: Supervision, Data Curation, Manuscript Review and Editing.
14. Ethical Statement: Authors must disclose whether the research involved human participants, animal subjects, or other activities requiring ethical approval, including the relevant ethics committee or institutional review board and approval details where applicable. If ethical approval does not apply, this should be stated clearly.
Example: Ethical approval is not applicable to this manuscript.
15. Funding Statement: Authors must disclose any funding received for the research, including the funding body's name and grant number where applicable. If no external funding was received, this must be stated explicitly.
Example: This research did not receive any specific grant from funding agencies in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.
16. Acknowledgement (optional): Placed after the Conclusion section, limited to contributions of an academic nature, such as recognition of research funders, individuals who contributed to discussions, or those involved in data collection or analysis directly related to the research.
17. Declaration of Generative AI: If any generative AI tool was used in preparing the manuscript, this use must be clearly declared in a separate section placed before the reference list, using a statement such as:
"During the preparation of this work, the author(s) used [NAME OF TOOL/SERVICE] in order to [STATE THE PURPOSE]. The author(s) subsequently reviewed and edited the content as necessary and remain fully responsible for the content of the published article."
18. References must be written using the American Psychological Association (APA) style, arranged alphabetically from A to Z, and managed using Mendeley. A minimum of 20 references is required, of which at least 80% must be primary sources (scientific journals) published within the last 10 years, and the remaining 20% may come from books, news, or other related publication reports. Authors are required to include at least one citation to an article previously published in Spirit Publik: Jurnal Administrasi Publik. It is recommended to include the DOI and to write journal names in full.
The Editor is entitled to make changes to the manuscript without reducing its basic content and without the author's permission. The decision to accept the manuscript for publication without revision, or to accept it with revision and/or reorganization in accordance with the manuscript publication regulations, is entirely at the editor's discretion. The decision of acceptance or rejection will be communicated via email.
