Abstract

Waste management is one of the important issues in Indonesia, especially in rural areas. This study aims to explore a community-based waste management model in Baosan Lor Village by transforming organic waste into eco enzymes as an alternative to organic fertilizer and environmental cleaner. This study uses a case study method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with members of Gapoktan Wanita and Karang Taruna, and documentation of eco-enzyme production activities. The results of this study show that Gapoktan Wanita plays a role as the main driver in the waste sorting campaign and eco enzyme making training, supported by the active participation of the Youth Organization and counseling from the Tourism Office and the Agriculture Office. Despite challenges such as limited resources and uneven citizen participation, this model has succeeded in increasing environmental awareness and providing economic benefits in the form of organic fertilizers. With the potential to be developed as an environment-based educational tourism, this model has proven to be effective in creating sustainable solutions to the problem of organic waste at the village level
