Updated Peer Review Policy

Starting from Volume 21, No. 2 (2026), Spirit Publik: Jurnal Administrasi Publik has strengthened its peer review process as part of its ongoing commitment to improving scholarly quality, editorial rigor, and international academic engagement.

The updated practices include:

  1. Minimum Three Independent Reviewers: Each research article published in Volume 21, No. 2 (2026) has undergone evaluation by at least three independent reviewers with relevant academic expertise.
  2. Active International Reviewer Involvement: The journal has strengthened international participation in its peer review process, with scholars affiliated with overseas institutions actively contributing to manuscript evaluation. Reviewer selection is based on academic expertise, independence, and the absence of competing interests.
  3. Double-Blind Peer Review: The journal continues to apply a double-blind review process, maintaining the confidentiality of authors' and reviewers' identities throughout manuscript evaluation.
  4. Strengthened Scholarly Evaluation: The review process emphasizes research originality, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, analytical quality, and the significance of findings for public administration, public policy, and governance.
  5. Editorial Independence: Final publication decisions remain the responsibility of the editorial team, taking into account reviewers' recommendations and the journal's established editorial standards.

These improvements reflect Spirit Publik's continued efforts to strengthen research quality, ensure transparent and accountable editorial practices, and align its peer review procedures more closely with internationally recognized scholarly publishing standards.
