POLA KOMUNIKASI PEREMPUAN DALAM MENGKONSTRUKSI IDENTITAS GENDER PADA GERAKAN PKK

Abstract

Background: Gender, forms of equality between men and women actually become the essence to be achieved by PKK. As a feminine movement, PKK carries an effort to fight the active role of women, especially in family range. But in the other hand, PKK gives the rise to certain stereotypes as a movement between state power liaison with a number of aspect of life in the grassroot. As a result, it’s appearing social of womanhood as an intermediary for hegemony of state of the environment sectors, which further confirms the subordination of women social role.

Results: By doing analysis of I and Me in concept of symbolic interactionism, the formation of gender identity in PKK turned to the production and reception of messages by the boards and members of PKK. The process of message production had been conveyed through rhetorical message design logic by the boards of PKK as a communicator. Then, for the process of message reception, amount of information had been received in negotiatic position by the members of PKK as a communicant. Later, in relation to the empowerment of women, stated that the PKK tends to carry the form of state empowerment, and do not yet for the whole self-empowerment of community.
