Abstract

This research aims to find out how the values of character education in the Bumi manusia work of Pramoedya. This research is qualitative research using the method of the analysis of the discourse. The research object of human-Earth Novels Pramoedya. The Data collected is analyzed by using model analysis of the discourse of Halliday. The conclusions derived from this study are: 1) The value of the character's relationship with God shown: (a) religious rituals of prayer and (b) Shari'a Islamic law. 2) Values relationships with humans: (a) the value of the character's relationship with yourself or a human being as an individual, namely: value of honesty, value of responsibility, value of hard work, value of independence, value of a critical or the liberation, value of curiosity and a love of science; (b) Value of character relationship fellow human beings or humans as social creatures, namely: the value of awareness of rights and obligations for ourselves and others, appreciate the work and the achievements of others, and the value of democracy and (c) the value of national character, namely: shown through patriotism. 3) The discourse of the character education values in the novel Earth of Mankind, Pramoedya influenced by context as a communicator.
