APLIKASI TIPOLOGI KLASSEN PADA STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN SUB SEKTOR PERTANIAN TANAMAN PANGAN DI KABUPATEN BOYOLALI

Abstract

Boyolali Regency is an area applying the local autonomy and attempts to manage its area economy by exploring the potential available. As the tool for helping the Boyolali Regency in determining the priority in managing agricultural sector/ sub sector. This research becomes very urgent recalling that the mistakes in determining the development priority will affect the contribution and agricultural sector/sub sector pace in the present and its development in the future. The objective of research is to formulate the crop agricultural sub sector development strategy in Boyolali Regency. Klassen Typology approach was used as the means of identifying sector, sub sector, superior business or commodity, that were then analyzed using SWOT analysis employing primary and secondary data. The conclusion is that the crop and horticulture sub sector belongs to a potential one and the strategy that can be used for developing it is by (a) optimizing production, (b) improving capital access to the farmer, (c) improving the adoption of agricultural product processing technology, (d) optimizing the role of PPL (Agricultural Illuminator), (e) developing Everlasting Farm, (f) reinforcing the partnership. The implication of research is that the crop sub sector still can be improved into the one with prime category by improving human resource in crop and horticulture agricultural sub sector with entrepreneur spirit.
