Abstract

Abstract:  This study identifies the "Heuristic and Hermeneutic Reading of the Song For You" which is sung by Azu and is the soundtrack of the Naruto anime. The song For You tells about the encouragement or enthusiasm given to someone who is reaching their goals. This study aims to describe the heuristic and hermeneutic reading of the song For You. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The data source used is the lyrics of the song For You. The theory used in this research is the study of semiotics from Michael Riffaterre. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that based on heuristic and hermeneutic reading the meaning contained in the song For You is the encouragement given by someone to keep the spirit in achieving their goals.
