Atmosfir Ruang Dalam Tradisi Dhandangan Menyambut Bulan Puasa di Kota Kudus

Abstract

Tradisi Dandhangan di Kabupaten Kudus merupakan peristiwa budaya tahunan yang menandai datangnya bulan Ramadan dan membentuk konfigurasi ruang sosial yang khas. Artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana produksi atmosfir ruang dalam tradisi Dandhangan melalui interaksi antara ruang, aktor, dan nilai yang mengakar di masyarakat. Penelitian ini fokus pada dua area utama, yakni kawasan Menara Kudus yang bercorak sakral dan kawasan Pasar Malam yang bercorak profan.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-performatif dengan observasi partisipatoris, wawancara dengan pelaku budaya dan pengunjung, serta dokumentasi visual selama berlangsungnya tradisi. Hasil kajia menujukkan bahwa perbedaan atmosfer sakral dan profan di kedua area tidak bekerja secara dikotomis, melainkan membentuk relasi liminal yang ditandai oleh perbedaan relasi ruang dan tubuh, intensitas pengalaman sensorial, serta orientasi nilai. Temuan ini merefleksikan atmosfer ruang dalam tradisi Dandhangan yang dikonstruksi secara performatif dan berperan penting dalam membentuk pengalaman ruang kolektif masyarakat Kudus.
