Pengembangan Kota Wisata di Kawasan Hutan Konservasi Kecamatan Sekotong, Nusa Tenggara Barat

Abstract

Pariwisata merupakan salah satu sektor cepat tumbuh yang dapat mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi. Kecamatan Sekotong merupakan contoh daerah yang memiliki potensi wisata berkat adanya pariwisata pesisir yang ditunjang oleh peningkatan aksesibilitas pasca pengesahan Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Mandalika. Potensi ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengembangkan Kecamatan Sekotong sebagai kota wisata. Namun, pertumbuhan tersebut dikhawatirkan dapat mengganggu fungsi konservasi dan kelangsungan mata pencaharian masyarakat di Kecamatan Sekotong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan skema Public-Private-People Partnership yang dapat digunakan sebagai acuan pengembangan kota wisata berkelanjutan di Kecamatan Sekotong. Penelitian ini perlu dilakukan atas dasar belum banyaknya kajian yang membahas pengembangan destinasi wisata di Kecamatan Sekotong secara komprehensif dan mengkaji rencana tindakan konservasi alam yang diperlukan. Penelitian bertujuan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengembangan kota wisata berkelanjutan dengan pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui foto udara, observasi lapangan, dan telaah dokumen. Hasil analisis diintegrasikan dan diimplementasikan dalam rencana pelaksanaan dengan menggunakan skema Public-Private-People Partnership. Hasil akhir penelitian ini adalah skema pengembangan kota wisata berbasisPublic-Private-People Partnership yang memperhatikan kelestarian alam di sekitarnya. Skema ini secara legal akan diakui sebagai Kerja Sama Usaha (KSU) dan berlaku selama 35 tahun. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi secara keilmuan menjadi tolok ukur penerapan Public-Private-People Partnership dalam pengembangan destinasi wisata di Indonesia serta menjadi inspirasi bagi penulisan karya-karya tulis ilmiah baru dengan tema serupa.
